I’m here to help you create a better, more fulfilling life by embracing the power of self-compassion, self-love, and self-care. Through my coaching, I support Black women in tapping into their inner strength, fostering resilience, and unlocking the limitless potential that already exists within them.

I’m a certified Life + Wellness Coach and Grief Recovery Specialist, dedicated to helping women like you build emotional resilience and mental clarity. With years of experience working with Black women navigating both societal expectations and personal challenges, I offer a practical and holistic approach to well-being.

I’m here to help you identify what’s holding you back and to support you in creating sustainable change. Whether it’s learning to prioritize your needs, healing from loss, or breaking free from limiting beliefs, my role is to guide you through that process with thoughtful strategies and an open, supportive partnership.

What I Offer

In my work, I don’t promise happiness or perfection. Instead, I offer proven methods to help you better understand yourself, manage life’s inevitable challenges, and discover new paths forward. My coaching centers on cultivating self-compassion—an often overlooked but essential skill for personal growth and resilience.

In addition, as a Grief Recovery Specialist, I offer support for those grappling with loss, whether it’s the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or even the quiet grief that comes with life transitions. Through the Grief Recovery Method, I help clients navigate their grief in a healthy, productive way that allows them to move forward.

Claim Your Power is a six-month One-on-one coaching program with a Holistic approach that focuses on the 5 A's of self-compassion.

This program is designed to help you reclaim your power and take control of your life by cultivating a kind and supportive relationship with yourself.

Our approach is based on the five A's of self-compassion.

Awareness

Current: You will learn to recognize and acknowledge your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a non-judgmental way. By becoming more aware of your emotions, you can begin to understand the reasons behind your suffering and respond to yourself with empathy.

Suggested Improvement: Awareness: Develop the ability to recognize and acknowledge your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. By cultivating mindfulness of your emotions, you'll gain insights into the underlying causes of your suffering, allowing you to respond with greater empathy and understanding toward yourself

Acceptance

Current: Acceptance is about embracing your thoughts and feelings without resistance or trying to avoid them. By accepting yourself just as you are, you can start to heal from negative self-judgment and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Suggested Improvement: Acceptance: Learn to embrace your thoughts and feelings as they are, without resistance or avoidance. This practice of self-acceptance helps you heal from negative self-judgment and fosters a more compassionate and loving relationship with yourself.

Adoration

Current: Adoration is a deep love and respect for yourself, it involves acknowledging and appreciating your strengths, gifts, and positive qualities. By focusing on what you love about yourself, you can counteract feelings of self-doubt and develop greater self-esteem and self-compassion.

Suggested Improvement: Adoration: Focus on recognizing and celebrating your strengths, gifts, and positive qualities. By emphasizing what you love about yourself, you can counteract self-doubt and build greater self-esteem and self-compassion, enhancing your overall sense of self-worth.

Affirmation

Current: Offer yourself words of encouragement and support, much like you would a close friend. This includes affirming not only your strengths but also your needs and desires. By acknowledging and validating your needs, you can counteract negative self-talk and foster feelings of self-worth and self-compassion. For example, you might affirm your need for rest by saying, “It’s okay to take a break; my well-being is important.” This practice helps build a positive inner dialogue and strengthens your overall self-relationship.

Suggested Improvement: Affirmation: Provide yourself with words of encouragement and support, much like you would offer to a close friend. By using affirmations, you can counteract negative self-talk and foster feelings of self-worth and self-compassion.

Action

Current: Action is about taking practical steps to address challenges and difficulties, and make positive changes in your life. This could include setting and working towards goals, seeking support from others, and engaging in activities that promote self-care and well-being.

The price is $3,500 for 1:1 weekly coaching, text support, and study materials.

"Coaching with Rhonda Norman turned this skeptic into a believer in personal/life coaching. I agreed to coaching with Ms Norman because I was going through quite a few life changes, many as a result of the pandemic. In January 2020, my husband suffered the first of two strokes which subsequently led to him losing his job. I had been a stay-at-home wife who suddenly found herself thrust into the workforce. It was a major adjustment leaving the security of my work-at-home environment to being employed. It meant leaving many projects undone to put food on our family table. I had started to beat myself up over not being able to complete projects, clean my house, declutter spaces, etc. I thought Ms. Norman would give me solutions to getting those projects done but instead, she helped me work through the roots of my issues and gently encouraged me come up with my own solutions, without condemnation.
